NASCAR concerned with flying cars, vows action
Despite NASCAR president Mike Helton's concern about Brad Keselowski's airborne car Sunday at Atlanta Motor Speedway, don't look for a solution to flying stock cars in the short term, if ever.
Those with tire problems point finger at Goodyear
Asked following Sunday's Kobalt Tools 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway if Goodyear took a step in the right direction with the type of tire it brought to the 1.54-mile track, driver Ryan Newman pulled no punches.
NASCAR places Edwards on three-race probation
NASCAR president Mike Helton on Tuesday announced Sprint Cup driver Carl Edwards had been placed on probation for the next three Sprint Cup races as a result of Edwards intentionally wrecking Brad Keselowski this past Sunday at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Airborne concerns return after Keselowski accident
Elliott Sadler didn't seem to care much about who was at fault in the simmering feud between Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski. He was much more concerned about the No. 12 car flipping through the air after the two drivers clashed Sunday at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Humphrey new managing director of business for ISC
International Speedway Corporation announced it has named Rick Humphrey as managing director of business operations. Humphrey accepted the role from his most recent position as president of Talladega Superspeedway. W. Grant Lynch Jr., chairman of Talladega Superspeedway and vice president of strategic projects for ISC, will assume the responsibilities for day-to-day operation of the facility.
